Works great, always a good way to clear an infested pup, however please note, this is not a monthly prescription treatment pill, but a daily otc, if I give my pup this daily and then also a flea bath infestations are gone, and pup is cleared up. However the med is only effective for the time they take it daily, if dog is in a flea area fleas will come back fast. This is not for monthly preventative treatment.

I have bought this treatment many times and I find it really effective! There is a noticeable difference in a reduction of scratching and irritation and most of all less visibility of fleas. My dogs (one 68lbs and the other 80lbs) have had no adverse side effects to the pill. The only downside is the pill must be administered everyday so this is an expensive method of control. I only use it during extreme infestations and as a supplement to their normal flea and tick prescription. I live in a rural wooded area and have had bad years for fleas and ticks. This product does help temporarily control extreme infestations.

Dogs take these flea soft chews so easily. They get excited when I grab the bottle. The pills are the best, cheapest I have been able to find. The fleas start falling off 30-60 minutes after the dogs eat the chew and keeps the fleas under control. We have seen no hair loss or irritation. Definitely worth the money!!

We bought this for our senior GSD for a chronic flea infestation. They have been a pain to get rid of and it seemed like we would never find relief for him. I came across this brand and after reading the reviews, I thought I would take a chance and see if it would help our poor old boy. Within a week of daily use we noticed a significant difference in activity. He stopped scratching at himself and when checked, he was nearly flea free! We gave him a bath after checking him and found tons of dead fleas. Needless to say, this little miracle works great!

I'm going to be completely honest, I bought this item back in August of 2024, and it's about to be August ...again...so almost 1 whole year went by before I really tried this with my Boston Terrier, Pups. I DID try at first to get him to eat it but he just...wouldn't and I even tried smushing it up into his food and he still wouldn't go for it 50% of the time so I gave up on it and just left it on my bedroom table... up until today. I was so TIRED of the fleas on his body. So, I told my mom, we both went to the kitchen, I got one tiny spoon of peanut butter, lathered the chewable in there, and gave it to him and LO AND BEHOLD, HE ATE IT...no questions ask. Then, I waited. I think it took about 3-4 hours for it to take effect, and lemme tell you, all the adult fleas he had on his body rised to the surface and they were completely still and falling off his body. We were SO delighted. We immediately took him outside and brushed the rest out. Like, guys, this was ONE chewable. One. THANK YOU to the creators of this product.

About Advantus Soft Chew

Advantus offers fast, convenient flea treatment for dogs in an easy-to-give soft chew. Designed for pet owners who need quick action without the extra step of a prescription, the product is formulated to start killing adult fleas within one hour and leave the dog's system within 24 hours. The result is a practical treatment option for active households, occasional flare-ups, and situations where fast relief matters.

How Advantus Works

Advantus contains imidacloprid, an active ingredient that kills adult fleas after they bite the dog. Once fleas ingest the active ingredient, their nervous system becomes overstimulated, which kills the flea.
